ABOUT SUSAN ARDIZZONI, Ph.D.
Susan Ardizzoni, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years’ clinical experience specializing in the treatment of PTSD and dissociative disorders. As a guest lecturer, she has spoken on the subject of trauma for over 25 years at major universities such as Holy Cross College, Worcester Polytechnical Institute, Clark University and Assumption College. She has spoken on the radio, been interviewed on television and has been quoted in magazines. As a consultant and supervisor, working on providing licensure supervision, Dr. Ardizzoni reviewed patient charts and identified problems with diagnosis and treatment. By conducting a survey of psychologists’ practices treating complex PTSD, she has identified the most common problems associated with treating clients with complex PTSD and developed practical, tested strategies to avoid them. She is known for her ability to translate statistics, theory and standard techniques into practical interventions that can be immediately and successfully used with clients.
In addition to treating survivors of severe trauma, complex PTSD and dissociative disorders, she has many years’ experience supervising and consulting with clinicians who treat trauma survivors. Dr. Ardizzoni completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in West Roxbury, MA.
