Dr. Levine, depression expert, author, trainer and frequent contributor to the Huffington Post, will change your approach to working with depression. Take home new tools to energize clients, enabling them to transform how they think about depression and to change their actions. The Outside-the-Box approach pragmatically focuses on what works rather then being biased toward a particular ideology. The reality is that every “evidence-based” treatment—including antidepressants and cognitive-behavior therapy—is often ineffective; and treatment failure is itself demoralizing and can exacerbate depression. The good news is that in this seminar, you will learn successful strategies for cleints who have been failed by standardized techniques.
Many so-called “treatment resistant” clients are, in fact, not resisting help but actually lack the energy, wholeness and strength to initiate and maintain revitalizing actions. Learn highly-effective Outside-the-Box tools that augment classic cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and other psychosocial techniques. Utilizing empirical research findings, case study vignettes, historical examples and personal experiences, Dr. Levine will spell out how you can modify your approach to create results in your clients.
