JEFF WILLIAMS, MS, ATC

Jeff Williams, MS, ATC, graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Illinois, with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. He later earned a master's degree in Athletic Training from Illinois State University.

As a certified athletic trainer for six years, he has clinical experiences in settings including outpatient physical therapy clinics, NCAA Division III athletics, and NCCAA Division II athletics. During these clinical experiences, Jeff has served patients from athletic and non-athletic populations suffering various upper extremity, lower extremity, head and face, and thorax and spine injuries. He currently serves as Instructional Assistant Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator of the Athletic Training Education Program at Illinois State University. Working closely with athletes from the institution's intercollegiate athletic teams, he is also employed part-time as an athletic trainer at Lincoln Christian University.

Jeff has been involved in various research investigations and published numerous refereed journal articles that have been presented at regional and national conferences. These investigations have, predominantly, been aimed at examining prevention and treatment strategies of upper extremity injuries, particularly at the scapulothoracic and glenohumeral articulations. He is a current member of the Illinois Athletic Trainers', Great Lakes Athletic Trainers', and National Athletic Trainers' Associations.
