LAUREN D. COSTINE, PHD

Lauren Costine, PhD, (she/her), is a licensed psychologist, relationship coach, consultant, author, educator, and international speaker.  She is a founding member of the LGBT Specialization at Antioch University, a cutting-edge psychology program which trains psychology students on how to work with the LGBTQ community affirmatively.  Dr. Lauren has dedicated her life to raising awareness around Lesbian-Affirmative and LGBTQ-Affirmative psychotherapy and helping people find wholeness within themselves through the dynamic world of inner work.  She has been in private practice for over 22 years and has been using telehealth in her work for years.

Dr. Lauren is the author of the book: Lesbian Love Addiction: Understanding the Urge to Merge and How to Heal When Things Go Wrong.  She co-hosts a podcast called Consciousness Salon where she and her co-host, Alana Roshay, discuss various topics related to inner work, LGBTQ-affirmative psychology, and consciousness raising endeavors.

At Convalo Health International, Dr. Lauren was responsible for the development of multiple addiction treatment tracks (Core, Residential, LGBTQ-Affirmative, Prime Time, Family and Alumni) for the outpatient and intensive outpatient facilities.  She supervised and managed all Convalo’s Clinical Program Directors and was involved in utilization review, documentation training, admission criteria, and clinical supervision.  Dr. Lauren oversaw writing and monitoring the relevancy of the curriculum and training manuals as modalities and theoretical development change over time thereby assuring the highest quality standards, which also includes measuring client satisfaction and lifestyle improvements to maintain the most healing facilities.
